Guest Speaker: Mark E. Shaw, D.Min., Pastor of Counseling for First Baptist Church Jacksonville (Nocatee Campus) in Florida. Mark has been involved in helping people who struggle with addictions since 1991. As the Founder of The Addiction Connection, a national network of servant leaders in biblical addictions counseling, Mark is passionate about stirring up local church excitement for the “hope of the Gospel for the heart of addiction,” and seeks to fulfill Ephesians 4:11-16 by equipping the whole church for the work ahead. Author of over 20 publications, he’s sold more than 50,000 books, including co-authoring Healing Hearts' study for young men, "The Fight of Your Life". Christian readers appreciate his down-to-earth writing and speaking style of communicating biblical truths. Mark his wife Mary have 4 young adult children. Dr. Shaw is a graduate of Birmingham Theological Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Counseling, and he maintains ACBC certification as well as a state addictions counselor certification, CADAC II.
