![Healing Hearts Ministries Internaional [LOGO]](https://www.healinghearts.org/nimages/HHLetterhead_Web700.png) Dear Friend, What incredible things we have seen God do through our most recent Mother and Teen Daughter Conferences! A picture really is worth 1,000 words.  As we deeply explored God`s Word together, discussed how to apply it together, and prayed together, moms & daughters, youth leaders & the young women they disciple, got a taste of what it is like to be Walking Together in Christ. Why is this conference and the information presented so important? From my 19 years of experience working with youth and their families, I have seen a great chasm in the home between parents and their children. In addition to dealing with internal struggles such as depression, anxiety, anger, bitterness, and a breakdown in communication, families today face mounting external struggles such as divorce, blended families, abuse, eating disorders, self-injury and more. When the home can no longer be a peaceful refuge for the troubled heart for those who live there, each member tends to turn outward to find comfort and pleasure, only temporarily relieving the stress. Teens will often turn to other relationships and become so involved or attached that they are willing to be sexually intimate, just to feel connected to "someone". Parents will split off into their own worlds and delve into work, hobbies, or other things, instead of investing time with their loved ones. The family is in trouble and they need help! At Healing Hearts, we believe that what these weary souls are truly longing for is a deep relationship with Jesus Christ. The relationship with parents and their children is important, because God tasked moms and dads to lead their children to Jesus as the One they were created for. (See Col. 1:16) However, too often parents either don`t know where to turn for help with their kids, or how to apply the biblical teaching they know to be true. Our Walking Together Conference gives moms (specifically) a unique experience of learning the essential truths of God`s Word with their daughters while at the same time learning how to apply them and having a chance to practice them right then and there. We covet your on-going prayer support as well as financial support for this great undertaking. Currently, we are looking for Christian Businesses to corporately sponsor each of these conferences, so that we can offset travel expenses and be able to reach even more moms and daughters (some of whom need scholarships). Additional ways to help would be to donate frequent flyer miles or hotel points to help with these costs.
