![Healing Hearts Ministries Internaional [LOGO]](https://www.healinghearts.org/nimages/HHLetterhead_Web700.png) Dear Friend, It's been a few months now since we made our trip to Lima, Peru to introduce our Spanish bible studies at the South American Crisis Pregnancy Conference. We were so excited to hear that immediately after we left two groups had already started at the Pregnancy Center in Lima ministering to eleven women. One group of 5 was for women who had had abortions and the other group of 6 was for women who had other hurts in their lives. Evelyn Stone, the director of the pregnancy center led both groups. As soon as the groups were finished she immediately reported back to me and said the results were ten times what she had expected. Most of the women in these two groups were volunteers who worked at her center mixed in with a few clients. She said that the healing the women received changed the whole dynamics of her volunteer staff. They were on fire for ministry and equipped like never before. One of the clients received Jesus into her life and the husband of one of the volunteers saw such a change in his wife that he gave his life to Christ. This man was the mayor of a small town outside Lima and is well known. Everyone who knows him was shocked. We often see what we call the "ripple effect." When a woman receives healing it affects everyone else in her life. It affects her husband if she is married, her children, the way she functions at her job and every other area of her life. Just recently I received an email from Evelyn Stone with a story that I would like to share with you. Dear Sue, Yesterday Liliana, one of our new volunteers, came into the office to talk to me. She was in the group who just finished going through your study. I remember the first class when she confessed to the group that she had had 3 abortions and a terribly mixed-up and sinful past. She identified in many ways with your story. But she said on that first day that God had healed her and that she was fine and ready to serve at the Center. Now she came in to tell "the rest of the story." As the study progressed she discovered so much unfinished business: un-forgiveness and bitterness. And she responded as God moved in her heart. She told me that she learned to sincerely love her mother. But this week God sent her the final exam, as she had to forgive her mother again in the face of blatant rejection… and God gave her the grace to do it. Then on Friday she came into the center to serve. She had been receptionist up until now, but because no counselor showed up that day she was pressed into the counseling role. I told her that someday God would use her and her life story to save other lives. That day had come. On Friday she counseled a girl who came with a history of abortion and sin... and left with forgiveness, new life in Christ and a decision to love her new baby. God used Liliana and God used you. Thank you, and praise God with us. Evelyn I know there are people who probably think, "why should I give to a ministry that helps women who have taken the lives of their babies, I would rather give to save babies." Liliana's story is one very good reason. God used her story and her healing to reach out to another woman in crisis and saved the life of a precious child yet to be born. Those of us who have been down that road can speak to a crisis situation in a way that others can't. We know what's ahead because we've been there! Revelation 2:11 says "they overcame Satan by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony." It has always been my vision that as we heal women who have made the mistake of taking the lives of their children that they would then be able to speak the truth with boldness to other women so that they don't make the same mistake. Our stories are powerful and when we place them in God's hands they can do powerful things.
