Dear Friend,


This month I would like to give you an update on a precious friend
of ours in Kenya and ask for your prayers.



About a year ago Thomas and his wife Eva found Healing Hearts on
the web when visiting an internet café in Kenya. Because they are
very poor and do not have the funds to go to the internet café on
a regular basis, they asked if there was any way that we could
mail them copies of our Bible studies. We knew that in mailing
the studies there was the possibility that they would not receive
them, but felt the Lord was directing us to do so.



They let us know that they received the studies and were so excited!
They had never received anything in the mail before. Several
months had passed when we received an email from Thomas letting us
know that he and Eva had given their lives to Jesus! Thomas
was now sharing these great truths he had learned through the
Healing Hearts Bible studies with some widows and orphans in his
village. Through the months, he has kept in touch with Teresa
Rinker, our Foreign Mission's Director, and we have seen Thomas
grow in his faith. They have had many hardships this past year
as he and Eva
lost their new born baby in December and Thomas almost died of an
appendicitis rupture, but he has persevered. He now calls himself
Pastor Thomas.



We were so excited that we were able to send Thomas and his little
flock Bibles for Christmas. As his little flock grows, we will
continue to provide Thomas with Bibles. Below is the most recent
email and a photo which we received from Thomas:



    Mama Tere,

    You are always in our thoughts and prayers. Truly I am not able
    to update you on how we are doing in that I have a lot to do
    regarding preparing souls to be deeply healed. I ask you if you
    can print this photo and share them with Sue. Remember to put
    another copy in the church wall and tell the brethren to
    remember us in their daily prayers. We meet under a shade of tree
    on the land that my grandfather gave to me although it disturbs
    us a lot when it rains. Nevertheless we thank God for the seasons.
    Also I am committed in the need regarding bibles to search the
    truth.



    I thank sister Tere and Sue who sent us EKEGUSII bibles though
    they were not enough. They helped me out of large translations.
    Since then I have been in my pocket to buy English bibles to
    those who understand. THANK YOU.



    Mama Tere, Your daily devotionals are outgoing my management.
    I need to print them daily which makes it easy for my teaching
    preparations. I thank God for you as I wish you well. I day to
    day and long to nights to meet you face to face and share the
    richness in Him. May God always reveal to you all His depths of
    His riches in the Kingdom so that by having you as our spiritual
    mother, we will partake in the richness by healing the broken
    hearts. Eva, Lud and the orphans together with the brethren are
    doing greatly fine.

Please keep Pastor Thomas and his little flock in your prayers.
Pray for us as we minister to them through the giving of Bibles
and email devotions. We are trying to network with pastors in
Kenya to see if we can find someone to disciple Thomas. Please
join us in prayer that God will provide just the right person.



It never ceases to amaze me how powerful God's Word is, to see
the truth set people free like it did for Thomas and Eva.



Thank you for your prayers and for your financial gifts that make
ministry like this possible. When you touch just one life with
the gospel, many lives will be touched for eternity. May the Lord
