Dear Friend,


It’s hard to believe that fall is just around the corner. I don’t
know where our summer has gone, but it seems to have rushed by so
quickly.




It’s been a year now since my trip to Zambia and Uganda. I’m amazed
to see what the Lord has done in Uganda in just one year. Veronica
and Harriet, our two main contacts there, have not stopped sharing
the good news with women who have had abortions. We are seeing
women coming to Christ as they work through the Healing Hearts
post-abortion study. They have translated the study into their
language for those who do not read or speak English and they have
already held a post-abortion conference reaching areas outside
Kampala. Thanks to one of our contributors, we were able to
provide them with Bibles for which they were extremely grateful.
Please continue to pray for the work there. God is moving in that
country and lives are being transformed by His Word.




In just a few weeks we will hold our International Conference in
Colorado Springs, Colorado. We are expecting approximately 130
leaders to attend from all over the US, Holland and Australia. Our
training for new leaders will be held September 24 - 25. Thursday
evening, September 25th, we kick off our conference with a special
gathering where we will celebrate Healing Hearts’ 20th anniversary,
followed by two days of training and teaching from God’s Word to
equip our leaders for service. Please keep this conference in your
prayers. Pray for all who will be traveling, that there will be no
flight cancellations and that everyone will arrive safely.




We are happy to announce that we have received all the money
necessary for us to videotape our training. We so appreciate and
want to thank all those who contributed toward this project. We have
received enough not only to tape the training, but for the editing
and preparation that is necessary for it to go onto the leadership
portion of our website. We are very excited about this project.
Please pray for Larry Douglass and Emily Gibson who will be our
sound technicians and for Jeff Bull who will be our video technician. Pray for God’s covering and protection as we move forward with this project.




We would also like prayer for our finances. Since January we have
suffered a 31% reduction in donations to our general fund. We know
that many ministries are suffering because of the economy but we
also know that God is big and where He guides He also provides. We
have cut back staff hours and spending as much as we possibly can.
Please pray for us and consider us in your financial giving.




We are so thankful for your prayer and financial support. We pray
the Lord will bless and keep you always.

One hundred percent of all contributions made to Healing Hearts go directly toward supporting the various aspects of our ministry no "administrative fee" is collected by a fund-raising service.
