I hope that this letter finds you doing well and remembering us in your prayers. This month I would like to ask you to focus your prayers on our upcoming training which will be held this September in conjunction with our National Conference in Colorado Springs, CO. We are very excited, as this will be our largest training to date. I would like to give you some insight into our training process. When someone goes through one of the Healing Hearts Bible studies, their study leader prays and evaluates them to see if they would be a good candidate for leadership. If that former client feels God calling them to Healing Hearts, the discipleship process begins. For some women it may only mean one required Bible study, but for others it could mean up to three required studies to build a good Biblical foundation that will help them become a good counselor. After these required studies have been completed, trainees are then given pre-requisite homework for training which requires them to write essays, do case studies and more required reading. Once the pre-requisite work is complete, they are ready to attend our training, which takes place each year at our National Conference. This training consists of approximately 16 hours of discipleship classes designed to equip new leaders as they move toward establishing Healing Hearts in their church homes. Upon completion of the Healing Hearts training, new leaders are assigned to a seasoned mentor who will continue the discipleship process, praying for them, answering their questions and assisting them as they minister to the brokenhearted in their community. In regard to our training, we have an opportunity before us that I would like to share with you and hope that you would prayerfully consider supporting. We have an opportunity to professionally video tape this upcoming training. A very dear brother in Christ has offered to do this for us at the very reasonable price of approximately $2,000. Prior to meeting this brother, we received a quote from another company who wanted to charge us approximately $250 per hour plus editing and production fees. With our training video taped, we would be able to train leaders in other countries who are not able to come to the US. It would also allow current leaders to review training modules via our web site. If our economy continues to decline, these videos will be very instrumental for us to be able to continue training leaders to minister to the brokenhearted. As you can see, our trainees work very hard to become Healing Hearts leaders. Please pray for these ladies over the next few weeks as they complete their pre-requisite homework:
At our National Conference this September we will be celebrating 20 years in ministry. Please pray for this conference and continue to lift our ministry to the brokenhearted up in your prayers.
