One issue that is now front and center is the possible overturning of Roe v Wade. Headlines such as:  I’m sure many of you would love to see this issue just go away. It’s difficult to witness all of the violence and unrest, but trust me, the Lord is using all of this for His glory. It is very similar to a time 40 years ago when I was a new Christian and everywhere I went the issue of abortion was being discussed and argued. I just wanted it to go away, but God had another plan. It was during that time that the unrest and turmoil in our country brought me to my knees regarding my own abortion. God used it to draw me near and to heal me so that I could reach out and lead others to Him for healing. It breaks my heart to see the depravity and hardness of heart in women as they protest the possible overturning of Roe v Wade. Their actions and attitudes regarding the unborn are like nothing I’ve ever seen or imagined I would see. I pray that somehow those women can be reached with the gospel and that God will not turn them over to the depravity of their hearts. For 50 years now, this nation has only known legal abortion. Think about that. Anyone under 50 years of age has lived their entire life in a nation where abortion is not only legal, but in some states legal up to the point of birth. Even if Roe is overturned, it will only return the issue back to the individual states. Yes, it may lower the rate of abortion somewhat, but it will by no means stop it altogether. If there has ever been a time when our ministry is needed, it is now. We need your prayers, as our client load is rapidly increasing. The one thing that sets Healing Hearts apart from all other post-abortion outreaches is the Gospel. Many women and men have come to saving faith in Jesus Christ as they have entered one of our studies and sought out healing for their abortions. Consider these testimonies, which remind us that without the Gospel there is no hope or healing:  “[Binding Up the Brokenhearted] has deepened my acceptance of God’s love, forgiveness and grace. This erroneous ruling has misled so many people to seek abortion as an easy way out of an unwanted pregnancy. But our heart is especially bound to the “walking wounded” who currently live with the guilt of a past abortion. Our experience has shown us that increased news cycles and debates around abortion are often when post-abortive individuals feel their greatest guilt and deepest pain. Pray that God would be merciful to them and bring them to full repentance and true healing. Ask also that God would keep you sensitive to the unseen struggle others may be going through over abortion and that He would help you be ready to share Healing Hearts with them!
