For this month's prayer letter, we'd like to invite you to join us as we praise the Lord for some of the amazing ways He has been moving in and through our ministry during the present pandemic. While much around us has closed down for public safety measures (including our office in New Mexico), we have clearly seen how God has uniquely prepared and equipped our ministry for such a time as this to continue reaching the brokenhearted. ONLINE STUDIES GOING STRONG (20% increase!) Our online studies are always open for one-on-one counseling when no group Bible Studies are available. You can continue encouraging people in need to visit our "Get Help Now!" page to enroll in one of our three studies online. Our Healing Hearts Certified Counselors are ready to serve! We are currently hovering at around 100 active online counseling sessions—well above our typical 80! Thirteen of our new e-clients received scholarships that were directly funded from your donations. Many of these clients have been affected by recently job loss. Thanks for helping us be prepared to meet the need! SMALL GROUP STUDIES THRIVING ONLINE As many of our Group Bible studies have been forced to stop meeting in-person, we've been able to pivot these groups into our Online Studies interface to allow the group counselor to deliver their study lessons. These groups are now meeting via group phone calls or video conferencing so they don't miss a beat. We're thrilled that they have been able to continue meeting and accomplishing the good Gospel work that our ministry is committed to. We have even seen some of our "First Love" youth study groups continue to meet online using video conferencing tools.  CONTINUOUS ONLINE TRAINING FOR COUNSELORSOver the last 5 years, we've made a concerted effort to bring our certification training online. This means that we can continue training and equipping new leaders without interruption. Additionally, we've been able to build up an online media library for our leaders featuring over 300 hours of advanced teachings from leading biblical counselors and speakers. This is proving to be, now more than ever, a valuable tool for the continued support and growth of our 200+ certified counselors. GENEROUS DONATIONS CLOSING THE GAP Over $36,000 donated since February 1st — $18,000 above regular giving! With so much uncertainty surrounding the long-term impact COVID-19 will have on the economy, it would be completely understandable to see donations slowing down. Yet, we have seen so many of you step up with generous gifts above your usual giving to help us keep ahead of the financial struggles that undoubtedly lie ahead. In fact, we are very near to reaching our budget goals for the 2019-2020 fiscal year, ending in June. This is a HUGE praise! We're now only a little more than $7,500 away from our target amount. We recognize that this is God's Hand moving people's hearts to give generously, and we want to praise Him! AN ENLARGED VISION FOR MINISTRY GROWTH! Surprisingly, these past few crazy months have served to spark a vision for growing our online ministry in some exciting ways we never previously imagined. We'd love to invest in increasing our online reach with an upgraded Bible Study interface to expand support for mobile devices, integrate video counseling options, and provide secure methods for international clients to print copies of the studies. Opportunities are waiting for us in Span, the UK, and Canada. We could be on the cusp of exponential outreach growth!  With your continued support, this expanded vision can be within reach for us.
