We understand your concern. Be encouraged that the Lord is still moving and working in this generation. The question is, How can we join God in shaping the lives of young people all around us? A recent Barna study revealed some promising information about the upcoming wave of youth and young adults. Roxanne Stone, Editor-in-Chief at Barna Research, shared this in a recent video interview: “Gen Z (those born between 2000 and 2015) is very much a generation that is still taking shape. They are teenagers; many of them are still…living with their parents. There are a lot of factors that are still shaping Gen Z.” 1 More than ever, young adults need to see that God’s Word has real answers for the real struggles they face. Stone goes on to say, “We found in our research that parents have a huge influence on their children, which is no surprise and not new information. However, we saw that engaged Christian parents were more likely to have engaged Christian teens. The good news is that parents and youth leaders and teachers—these important people in kids’ lives—really can still have an impact.” 1 God designed young people to be primarily influenced by their parents and other trusted authorities rather than society at large. While society will have an influence on Gen Z, God gives parents and other godly leaders the chief responsibility to teach children. Regarding this responsibility, Deuteronomy 11:9 tells us, “Teach them [God’s precepts] to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.” (NLT) (See also Ephesian 6:1 and Hebrews 13:17) Will you join us in equipping parents and youth leaders to be that influential voice in the lives of Gen Z? Much like our study for young women, First Love: Embracing a Love that Lasts, this study provides in-depth interaction and application as the participant and their parent or mentor work through the Bible, addressing the matters of the heart.  The Fight of Your Life and First Love are specifically designed for youth and young adults ages 13-25. Over the past five years, many parents and youth leaders have used the First Love study to disciple young women with great success! After completing this Bible study, these young women developed a hunger for God’s Word, a deeper relationship with their parent or mentor, and a continued desire to build community with others in the Body of Christ.We believe that The Fight of Your Life will have the same life-changing impact on young men!
