Dear Friend,


The ministry leadership prays that you are enjoying the beautiful summer weather as well as time with friends and family! Summer is proving to be another busy season for the ministry as God blesses us with new opportunities. He has opened the door in Africa for the first time this summer.



August 28th through September 11th Sue Liljenberg and Teresa Ortega will travel to Uganda and Zambia to provide post-abortion leadership training to the Pregnancy Resource Centers there! God has blessed the ministry by providing most of the travel funding through Life Ministries International. Healing Hearts' portion of the trip will be $2,200. If you would like to make a donation toward this trip, please designate your gift to Africa Missions.



Thank you for joining the ministry in praising the Lord for all He has provided and interceding with prayer on behalf of Healing Hearts leaders and clients. Thank you for your financial support as well, that allows us to reach more hurting women and men for Christ. We are so thankful for your faithfulness!







  • E-ministry - God is currently reaching 96 hurting individuals through HH on-line studies!
  • Golf Benefit - God has answered our prayers with 33 golfers this year! The weather was perfect and the event was a success.
  • Walks for the Wounded Heart - June 3-9 was "Walk for the Wounded Heart Week". Thirty five individual leaders across the country prayed and walked in their local communities to help raise much needed funding!














  • Current Leaders - Please pray for steadfastness for HH leaders as they step out in the Lord to share the Word with those who are hurting around the world! Pray also that they would remain physically and spiritually healthy.
  • Leadership training - There are two additional trainings scheduled this year for September and October. Please pray that God will call numerous trainees from across the U.S. and Canada and for wisdom and discernment for the trainers as they prepare to teach the Word!
  • Missions - Africa - Sue Liljenberg & Teresa Ortega will travel to Uganda and Zambia for the first time to provide post-abortion training to new leaders in those countries. Praise God! Please pray for travel mercies, that many leaders will emerge to share the Gospel, and open hearts to receive it in these countries.
  • Missions - Ukraine - Teresa Rinker, Barb Reidberger and Kathy Kennard continue to support HH leaders in Ukraine and are preparing to return in October! Please pray for them as they plan and prepare to offer much needed encouragement to the leaders in this part of the world.
  • Missions Peru - Please pray for much needed time for Sue Liljenberg. to continue to write the study, "Safe In The Arms of Jesus" that will minister to hurting teen aged girls.
  • Ministry Clients - Pray that unsaved clients would come to know Jesus and that God would touch every client and heal their wounded hearts.
  • Regional Mentor and Annual Board Meeting - The Regional Mentors meeting and the annual Board of Directors meeting will be held on July 12-15. Healing Hearts Regional Mentors work hard to disciple leaders throughout the year. This is their time to be ministered to, encouraged, and sent out to continue to minister to others. Please pray for the renewal of their spirits. Please also pray that the Board will receive wisdom from the Lord regarding 2008 planning.










The ministry would like to leave you with an urgent request to pray that the Lord will throw wide-open the doors at Dwight Women's Correctional facility for HH leaders to return and continue His work and ministry there. Below are two testimonies from ladies at the facility who have been touched by the Lord.



K.K. said, "At first I was a little hesitant about being open and seeing what the group was about. Thank you Jesus this group was so awesome I didn't want to leave. The openness and love from each lady just forces you to open up and love too. I would recommend this bible study to everyone because it truly helps. You will be healed, delivered and free from the past bondages if you want to. Whatever you put in is what you'll receive."



D.P. said, "This group has helped me to realize that the only one who expects me to be strong all the time is me and that all my strength and joy comes from the Lord. Also just because I fail doesn't mean that God will stop loving me."
