![Healing Hearts Ministries Internaional [LOGO]](https://www.healinghearts.org/nimages/HHLetterhead_Web700.png) Dear Friend,  At Christmas we rejoice in remembering that the birth of Christ was in God`s plan from before the beginning of time. God`s promise that all the families of the earth would be blessed through Abraham`s descendants is affirmed by the detailed genealogy, from Abraham to Christ, provided for us in the first chapter of Matthew`s Gospel. Family is important to God because the Faith is passed down from generation to generation. Christmas is a time for us to gather with our families to celebrate not only the birth of Christ, but also our adoption into the family of God!This Christmas, in celebration of the love that can lift us out of darkness and bring us together in the light, we would like to share the story of Connie and Sabrina Boyer, a mother and daughter who have both experienced the power of healing and forgiveness through the promised Messiah, Jesus Christ.  Connie Boyer is a trained Healing Hearts counselor whose love for the Savior and passion for God`s Word fuel her intense desire to see hurting women lifted and healed. Her own journey towards healing was a hard one. Raised with an abusive and alcoholic father, bearing a child out of wedlock, suffering abuse and betrayal from her own husband and living through an unwanted divorce, Connie maintained a strong faith but was weighed down with guilt and shame. Through difficult times she sought strength through prayer and Bible study, praying earnestly that she would be able to forgive—but complete freedom eluded her. Now meet Sabrina Boyer, Connie`s daughter. Sabrina is quick to credit her mom with passing down the faith, not only by taking her to church and youth group regularly, but also by being a living example of dependency on Christ. Through the hard years, mom and daughter would lean on and encourage each other. In fact, Sabrina grew in her faith and developed a strong desire to give her life to Christian service. As a young adult she served in youth ministry and went to ministry training school. But after graduation, Sabrina felt discouraged and burnt-out. Backsliding, she began using alcohol and drugs and continued in sexual sin. She would eventually have an abortion, and then another—a secret she kept from her mom.The Gospel`s Glorious Light When asked what it was that eventually brought her to Healing Hearts, Connie admits that she didn`t necessarily feel the need for further healing. She had been recommended for leadership training, which required that she take the Hem of His Garment study. "I soon learned I was not healed from the pain, shame, and guilt of my divorce," she says. "I was still harboring unforgiveness toward my former husband for his betrayal. The Lord was not done with me yet! However, He understood what it was to be betrayed." Depending completely upon the application of God`s Word for her healing, Connie is now free and forgiven and can truly give all the glory to Him. A Renewed Purpose Once she became a leader, Connie encouraged Sabrina to also take the Hem study. Not knowing that her daughter was post-abortive, she says that her hope was for Sabrina to "surrender to the Lord and follow Him in obedience…that she would embrace God`s Word and receive fresh revelation." She knew her daughter was hurting. After some coaxing, Sabrina agreed, and completed the study. Eventually, Connie began training to become co-leader for a Binding Up the Brokenhearted study (she was not post-abortive). She shared her excitement about the study with Sabrina and shortly after that conversation, Sabrina confessed her abortion to her mom. Sabrina insisted that she had completely dealt with the abortion, but Connie prayed that she would go through the Binding Up the Brokenhearted study. Her desire was for Sabrina to experience release from her guilt and shame, and to become a witness to the Lord`s transforming power. What happened next is best expressed in Sabrina`s own words: "I finally submitted and started the Binding Up study. Let me assure you, it is like no other. It has given me the Word of God concerning my complete healing and addressed the issues no one can or will talk about regarding the sin and grief that comes with having abortions. This study has changed my life I have been set free and received complete healing. I have a renewed sense of purpose and I`m committed to lead woman as a Healing Hearts Biblical Counselor." When asked what they would say to someone who is on the fence about taking a Healing Hearts study, Connie and Sabrina share their unbridled enthusiasm. Connie: "Jesus is calling you! There is no time to waste, come and experience His love, grace and mercy and receive your healing! The Hem of His Garment and the Binding Up the Brokenhearted studies are like no other Bible study. You will never be the same!" Sabrina: "Just do it! God loves you so much and you are so worth it. Completely surrender, fully commit, put in the work and ask Him for the Faith knowing that He will carry you to the end. If you do these things you will be set free, restored and purposed for the life God created you for." * Read Connie`s and Sabrina`s full testimony at www.healinghearts.org/boyers-story Come, shine the Light with us!
