Rosie LeProhon’s Walk for Freedom
Hello! My name is Rosie LeProhon. My husband Drew and I have been married for 40 years and have 6 children (5 together) and we are expecting our 16th grandchild. We live in Idaho with 4 our of our 6 children, along with their families, and are enjoying God’s provision in this beautiful state.
After my abortion, I was devastated and would’ve done anything to bring my baby back, but it was the one thing that drove me to Christ and His Salvation. Through the years, I knew in my head that God had forgiven me for my sins, but I felt like He would punish me by not letting me have other children or worse. Many fears began to flood my thinking, and I believed many lies from the Enemy who wanted to crush my soul and spirit. After many, many sleepless nights, pleadings with the Lord, devouring scripture, and years of tears, I finally felt the peace that comes from trusting in a Sovereign LORD.
I heard about Healing Hearts about 25 years or so before I realized that keeping silent about that one sin in my life could keep many from God’s healing in their lives. I was challenged in our church by our pastor and was convicted by God’s Holy Spirit through another woman’s testimony of how God had used her in this ministry of Healing Hearts and had felt God beginning to call me into this ministry. I was told that I would need to do the discipleship Bible study before I could be recommended to take the training to be an HH Leader. I was immediately struck by how deeply my sin of abortion had affected so many areas of my life. God, in His tender care, with the skillfulness of a sharp-edged knife (using scripture & prayers), kindly opened up and removed the scabbed-over sins that grew deep roots of hurts and lies that I had believed through the years.
Healing Hearts Ministry is a Biblical discipleship Bible study that is for post-abortive women (and men) and, generally, anyone who has sinned or been sinned against. There are many women (and men) silently hurting without any knowledge of the ministry of Healing Hearts. This ministry has been around for 40 years, tried and true, and is currently in many different languages, reaching women in many different countries. Giving to Healing Hearts will help further our ability to reach more women and men for the glory of God through awareness and the means to continue to make this ministry affordable and available.
